In ancient Rome, the goddess was contemplated as the protector of flowering and wheat and one had to participate in her rituals by wearing colored clothes to imitate the color of the flowers.
The fresco sees her almost floating in the air, intent on delicately picking the flowers and scattering them with her basket.
