Historical Curiosities

Capodimonte porcelain has royal origins: it was created in 1743 by the will of Charles of Bourbon and his wife Maria Amalia of Saxony, who founded the Royal Factory of Capodimonte. Located in the Neapolitan palace, this factory quickly distinguished itself for the production of unique and refined works, surpassing the fame of Meissen and Sèvres porcelain.

Its main characteristic is the absence of kaolin, which gives a delicate, almost translucent appearance to the porcelain. The works, often inspired by nature, mythology and the decorative arts, became famous throughout Europe. Even today, Capodimonte porcelain represents asymbol of luxury and tradition, handed down from generation to generation.

Roses, a symbol of love and beauty, are among the most representative subjects of Capodimonte creations. Each flower tells a story of care and passion, making each piece unique and refined.
