Rthree-dimensional production of the painting by Amedeo Modigliani "Woman with Blue Eyes"from 1918, preserved at the Museum of Modern Art de la Ville in Paris.

The figurine, in porcelain resin, was worked and hand painted by the expert and qualified craftsmen.

The common characteristic of the women painted by Modigliani is certainly the empty gaze, often without pupils, and the tapered neck. The absence of the pupils is interpreted in two different ways: as a pictorial choice due to his difficulty in relating to women or, in the more romantic vision, as a choice due to the fact that the artist refused to paint them because he did not know the their soul.

Characteristics
  • Material: porcelain resin
  • Dimensions: 14,5 x 6,5 cm (5,70 x 2,56 inches)
  • Weight: 355 gr
  • Produced in Italy

Historical Curiosities

Amedeo Modigliani, avant-garde artist of the 20th century, is famous for his stylized portraits and elongated figures. In his depiction of the Blue-Eyed Woman, the large, penetrating eyes are a distinctive element that embodies his interest in introspection and the enigma of the soul. Modigliani found inspiration in African art and tribal masks, which influenced his stylized figures. Although little appreciated in life, he is today recognized as a master of modernism.

Maintenance

To preserve the sculpture, it is recommended to clean it with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight.
